If our society is a particle, what about the possibilities of other civilizations?

Beyond the Society Particle: The standards of the cosmic collective

As we’ve observed in the universe from the smallest to largest scale of matter, the physical realm of it tends to fall into predictable patterns: from liquid, solid and gas, stars form, blackholes erupt and planets are a dime a dozen. The binary structure of atoms into elements and the subsequent matter formations create a simple regime of attaining an equilibrium through achieving stability. A regime which we have studied and defined with a predictability of regularity so formal, we call them laws.

We see life as a unique thing in the universe, because we are the only known intelligent species. Things like chirality and stable atomic frameworks exist regardless of the first intelligent species in the universe and both these things (chirality and atomic structure) mean that the complex compounds and organisms that have developed on our planet to create us are commonly recurring and not necessarily rare. The only thing we lack is observation to confirm the probability of life outside our planet. Given the size of the universe and the number of objects with-in it, there’s a plausible argument that life exists outside of earth. In this article, I attempt to explain the real paradox associated with intergalactic community and life outside our little patch of the universe.

In an earlier post, I mentioned that “life” is like an automaton, a self-replicating machine. We, as a complex society in a fixed system are experiencing reality like a particle moving through a medium; the energy is akin to the spirit or essence of an individual, while our bodies act like the shell or higgs- boson of our particle wave. In this universe, the ‘life machine’ is governed only by the laws of physics in this dimension (plane of the universe) and the n-dimensional hypersphere of stable forms in matter (or stable orientations of energy — atomic structures). This essentially means that life could be as complex as us and could be just as adapt to their home-planets conditions as we are to ours, especially given the fact that we aren’t even sure that life needs our basic blocks to exist. Philosophers have tried to either separate the spirit from the machine or consciousness from body and others have tried to link them together. At the end of the day consciousness is the development of in-taking the energy configuration of reality and being able to super-impose nuance based on experiential development to make choices and form routine (society and culture). As I’ve written about previously the illusion of time is akin to the idea of difference and sequence between any society, society being a complex interconnection of intelligent life in a fixed system of reality.

If these are the only requirements to be a conscience being, then intelligent life could emerge anywhere. As these lifeforms develop in a community, they will measure their environment and develop science and art based on the expression of experience and their need to affirm a firm understanding of themselves. This linear trajectory is akin to Moore’s law and the relatively narrow spectrum of scientific inquiry, meaning that there are benchmark developments that developing civilizations can develop to. Given the Kardashev scale and the fact that we are now almost able to reach True AI — probably around the jump from tier 0 to tier 1, it’s likely to assume that this may be the given level of correlating energy and technology development. A real AI system would easily be able to perfect the physical engineering to unify the fields and create wormholes in the universe. That being said, any civilization developed enough could create a tunnel network through space and time limited only by the “burrowing speed” or the time it takes light to travel from two entangled points. When we talk about the zoo hypothesis we look at the speed it would take to send wave transmissions but that’s not necessarily the most effective way to communicate through space time. It would faster scan for radio waves and other unnatural frequencies, observe space and then to link to a solar system that you suspect life to be in by worm hole. We assume wormholes to be instant and they are, but only once they have been tethered to the frequency origin of a society and would consumed a massive amount of energy in the process of forming the link by entangling standard configurations of energy through the quantum multiplex. Its like taking the time to dig the tunnel linking start to destination and creating a teleporter between the points; because of the waved geometry of the universe there are ripples in the fabric of space time acting as a constant for the perception of time between each point or the speed of light aka the cosmological constant. So, let’s say a civilization 90 light-years away linked to our solar system, it would seem like 90 years respectively to bridge the two worlds with anything traveling (burrowing) at the speed of light but once a stable quantum tunnel is made, the subatomic particles on either side could be entangled and flow from one side to another faster than the speed of light, enabling interstellar travel far more efficiently than rockets. faster then waiting for a response by radio wave or another interstellar messaging technique. Once tethered it would essentially be like teleporting across the universe: your atoms would be dismantled and reassembled on the other side with exactly the same way. A better way of thinking about it is that something would exist in one place and be observed in another, with the respective observer remaining a constant configuration with time becoming the illusion (this interpretation of time has more to do with dimensional inquiry than single observer plane existence but it’s the same wheel house). In the strange world of quantum mechanics, it can be argued that particles that are entangled and observed are not really different particles but part of the fabric of the universe its self — energy divided by space, and is therefore only respective in isolation of observation and that entanglement is a response to stimuli, consistent with the conservation of action/ thermodynamic principle of particle physics. Energy is a medium in which the nine dimensions of reality are anchored on. To properly grasp the complexity of energy in the quantum universe, one would have to comprehend 9 levels of infinity acting on a single point or to put it more neatly infinity to the 9th power of infinity. The quantum realm is like the background flow of the multi-dimensional infrastructure of the universe, but only allows for interaction on the plane in which the observe exists on. Like the cosmological argument, reality must be consistent with the observer and therefore our actions are linked in this plane much like they do in the system in which we exist as a society.

Now, connecting the universe is one thing, but what does a connected universe look like? Kind of like a hybrid of the Star Trek and Star Wars universe but removing the extrapolated human qualities that make no sense in a multi intelligent specked universe like wars, social inequality, aesthetic and historical discrimination because resources wouldn’t be a individualist property of society.

In order to reach the point of AI singularity and rapid technological development, a species would have to collectively overcome the four factors of culture that have repressed social development: race, money, religion and nation. As I’ve written about these things in the past, they are the restricting elements of human society and only perpetuate the systemic control of others and implementation of class structure among what should be an equal population on one planet. They have held the means of advancing us to this point but have become obsolete and threaten the very existence of the species through the corrupting influence of greed, short-sighted human arrogance and resistance to change. Intergalactic communities would have to reach a scientific and engineering point to be worthy and capable of searching for and connecting to other intelligent species. Passing Tier 1 of the Kardashev scale and developing Real AI is that point. One can assume that if the previously outlined factors are essential to communal development, then to reach a point of higher technology, moving past these social cruxes are essential and developmental. Moving to the collective understanding of social solidarity and oneness is the essential invitation to this type of intergalactic community because these traits can not be taught through presence, it must be learned and ingrained in social consciousness. Much like the Star Fleet Protocol against interfering in lower technological societies in Star Trek, a intergalactic community would be adverse to presenting itself as it could do a lot: empower morally immature beings, create the sense of inferiority in populations or perpetuate the wasteful and destructive habits of civilizations yet to reach singularity. Like I stated, the real marker is the development of real AI, because if developed ethically and used properly, humanity would be forced to become an equitable society, the real challenge isn’t developing the technology — that’s a linear and a given benchmark in intelligence, its developing the cultural oneness that makes a real intergalactic worthy society. Considering the unparalleled scope of technology and energy use in higher scale civilizations it is easy to imagine that they could have developed immortality or close to it. This makes connecting to other lower civilizations a way of enriching their experience as cosmological equals or harvesting the dense cultural nuance of organic intelligence in a matrix like simulation until such time that they are worthy to join them, probably to recoup the resources wasted to connect to the failed/ inferior society. kinda of like isolating a pocket of space and recurring a loop over it programmed to scenario until it reaches an optimal point. This idea is reminiscent to a lot of our ideas of morality, life, purgatory and life after death as well as the fact that it can be played out in our own sensory understanding of our anthropological development is both predictive yet corresponds to, the idea of linear cultural development and the recursive thematic patterns of culture and life. This conclusion of contact is an example of the schrodigner’s cat experiment and the cosmological argument. Social, cultural and technological development all have a linear progression like moore’s law and a conservation of action to breed efficiency that only indicates that the way we live now, is beneath our capabilities and hinders it. greed and power corrupt the ability of humanity advance and the protection of status quo is the failure of a regressive society.

This may seem like a simplistic argument but to be complex in nuance is only creating a barrier or edge as opposed to conveying the idea in a way that captures the personal perspective to bridge the void in understanding. Yet, at the same time removing the idea of a singular perspective allows for the depth of understanding to relate, the illusion of self restricts cohesion in society. Seeing only yourself, leaves you closer to seeing nothing.
